Flower/fruit: Small white flowers on hairy, slender, branching stem; five petals – three larger petals have two yellow spots, smaller petals do not

Foliage: Basal rosette of 3 to 7 inch hairy, strongly toothed, lance-shaped leaves; deep maroon underside with age
Site: Moist, rocky areas, seepage slopes
