Height: 1 to 2 feet
Flower/fruit: Singly borne rose-pink flowers; lip formed by lower petal is densely bearded or crested  
Flowering Season: Mid-summer
Foliage: 2 to 4 inch single leaf is lanceolate and located about midway on the stem; basal leaves are absent at flowering
Site: Savannahs, bogs, low ditches, swamps
