Height: 10 to 20 inches
Flower/fruit: .75 to 1.5 inch flowers radiate from the tip of the stem; the five petals are various shades of sky blue to violet; wedge-shaped; sometimes notched; recessed stamens  
Flowering Season: Late spring to early summer
Foliage: Hairy, sticky stems; 1 to 2 inch opposite, ovate to lanceolate unstalked leaves
Site: Rich open woods, fields
