Height: 1 to 2 feet
Flower/fruit: Long golden yellow club-like spadix; not enclosed by a spathe; fertile portion is the terminal 2 to 4 inches; many small, greenish yellow flowers  
Flowering Season: Late spring into summer
Foliage: 5 to 12 inch stalked, elliptical dark green leaves with parallel veins
Site: Bogs, margins of slow moving streams, swamps, pond margins
Comments: Spreads by rhizomes
