Flower/fruit: Lavender-blue pea-like flower on elongated, 4 to 7 inch terminal cluster; red-purple spot on the upper petal; pods densely covered with silvery gray hairs  
Flowering Season: Spring into early summer
Foliage: 2 to 6 inch hairy, undivided elliptical leaves
Site: Dry open woods, fields
