Flower/fruit: Spike of pink-lavender bowl-shaped flower heads in interrupted clusters composed of disk flowers on diverging stalks; overlapping bracts surround the flower heads are in 5 to 6 series
Flowering Season: Early fall
Foliage: Up to 10 inch leaves; soft hairy to rough; lower leaves are ovate to lanceolate; upper leaves are smaller and linear
Site: Dry woods, clearings
