Flower/fruit: Numerous 1 to 2 inch flower heads, each with 10 to 18 dropping bright yellow rays which are 3-lobed at the summit; large ball-shaped yellow disk
Flowering Season: Fall
Foliage: Narrowly oblong to lance-shaped leaves; stalkless, usually toothed, 2 to 5 inches long; wing-angled stems; branches toward the summit
Site: Soil tolerant; sun to partial shade; found in swamps, wet meadows and thickets
