Foliage: Pairs of egg-shaped leaves, 3 to 6 inches long; sharply toothed margins; heart-shaped base; taper pointed tips
Site: Rich woods; partial shade
Comments: The principal cause of "milk sickness," which is transmitted to humans through the milk of cattle that have eaten it
