Flower/Fruit: Blooms in April, just as, Cornus florida, blooms faded; bracts are about the same size as those of C. florida but are produced in greater abundance covering newly emerged leaves
Comments: Results of crosses made between Cornus florida and Cornus kousa; highly resistant to dogwood borers
