Foliage: 1 to 2.5", alternate, pinnately compound, leathery leaves with 3 to 7 leaflets; 6 to 14 bristly-tipped teeth per side; dull blue-green in summer; purplish in winter
Comments: Spready by stolons; best used as a ground cover; open center reduces attractiveness; protect from winter sun and wind
