- Black-eyed Susans are some of the most popular, toughest and most beautiful perennials grown today. The cultivar 'Goldsturm' is very desirable, having compact growth and prolific flowering. Cut Black-eyed Susans back after flowering, and a second, much smaller bloom may occur in late fall.
