Foamflower is a small, delicate native species which is grown in gardens for its neat, interesting foliage and small spikes of creamy white flowers. Foamflower can be used as a groundcover, as it spreads by underground rhizomes. A similar hybrid, Wherry's foamflower, forms clumps and does not spread by rhizomes.
