Comments: Medium green leaves turn red, yellow, orange, scarlet, and red velvet in fall; rejuvenate by cutting to the ground every few years; not poisonous; naturally occurs in western part of North Carolina; spreads by suckers
Cultivars: Laciniata (cut leaf; orange fall foliage); Dissecta (deeply cut leaves)
