Fronds: Fronds are produced in rows or loose clusters; blade is dull green, slightly hairy, broadly triangular and tilts backwards; bipinnatified; 12 or more almost opposite pairs of pinna that are tapered at both ends; lowest pair are larger, broader and often point downward; winged rachis; lower surface has fine hairs; thin stipe; fronds have pale yellow fall color
Comments: Prefers light shade and moist, humus rich soil but can be found in sunny open areas with dry or semi-moist soil; shallow rhizome; spreads rapidly
