Fronds:
Rosette of dark green, leathery,
stiff, pinnatified, lance shaped sterile fronds that arise in a
vase shape clump; tapers towards each tip; fountain of erect fertile
fronds in center
Comments:
Ascending rhizomes;
prefers, strongly acidic, humus rich soil and partial to full shade
but will tolerate some sun with adequate moisture; seldom needs
division
