Height: 3 to 4 feet
Flower: Nodding bright yellow flowers up to 4" on long stalks in April, May
Foliage: Erect, yellowish green trumpet-shaped leaves with crimson patch on throat; hood is held well above the throat; sometimes red veined
Comments: Native to coastal Alabama, Georgia and the Carolinas; full sun with soil high in sphagnum moss or peat moss, coarse vermiculite and sharp sand
