MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Coordinate North Carolina Migrant Education Program (MEP) Identification & Recruitment (ID&R) plan. The Migrant Education Program provides supplemental services to migrant students to enable them to meet high academic challenges and performance standards that are expected for all children.
- Provide statewide ID&R training and assistance to develop local ID&R plans and activities.
- Coordinate efforts to develop and strengthen NC MEPs network system to recruit and refer migrant families for services.
