the time to work through the following exercises designed to help
you build on your your knowledge of partnerships. When possible,
you may want to do your work online and then print it. Or, you may
choose to print each exercise sheet and then complete it by hand.
Whatever your choice, once you've finished each exercise, remember
to print a copy of your work for your TRY-IT Personal Leadership Portfolio.

Think
about times when you have been involved in partnerships. The partnership
might have been between you and one other person, or it could have
been between you and several others. Think about how and why each
partnership formed. Make a chart with two columns. Label the left
column “Partnerships” and label the right column “Mission.”
Under the “Partnership” heading, name the participants/players
involved in each partnership. Under the “Mission” heading,
list the goals of each of the partnerships. |

On
the linked print-out sheet, complete

Life Experiences Exercise 2:

Title ??? |
| |
Using
one of the partnerships you listed in Exercise 1, think about how
the partnership was structured. In your Reflection
Journal, describe how each partnership came to exist.
Then write what you can remember about the process of working toward
the goal. What roles did each person assume? What was your role? Did
the team achieve its goal? If so, how was it accomplished and how
long did it take to succeed? If not, describe what went wrong. |
