Curriculum Activities

The following activities are taken from our current 4-H offering. You will notice that for each activity there is a lifeskill, a task, and several questions. These questions serve to process the learning of both the activity and the lifeskill. You will also note that I have told you where to find the particular activity. Many of these can be done without ever going to the book, others may require a peek or two. These were all tested at curriculum training sessions and I hope that you will consider using them in one of the following ways.

  • For agents to train leaders in how to facilitate experiential learning
  • For agents to use with leaders as a means of letting them see what is available in a skillathon type of venue
  • For volunteers to use with their clubs, to let them know the great projects that we have
  • For agents, volunteers, and TRY teams to use when trying to teach a particular life skill and a variety of subject matter is desirable.
I know that each of you will think of many other ways to use these, so please share them with me so they can be posted up here for others to see.
