It is time to make
plans for the 2006 State Fashion Revue! The State 4-H Fashion Revue will be held
on Monday, July 17 during State 4-H Congress. Judging for the Fashion Revue will
be held on Monday morning, July 17. I know that some of you have to make
arrangements for early travel that day. If you let me know in advance, we will
be sure to schedule those participants to be judged last. No one should be left
out because of scheduling. We are also aware of all the interviews and other
activities going on that morning, and we will work around that as well.
The number of county Senior winners who may enter State competition will
be determined in the same manner as in the past (based on County Fashion Revue
participation. See Guidelines). All entries in State Competition are invited to
participate in the Fashion Revue on Monday night during Congress.
A $100
savings bond will be presented to the preliminary winner in each of the three
following categories: Poise and Appearance, Short Form Record, and Construction.
The State Fashion Revue winner will receive a trip to National Congress.
Please read the information
carefully. It is important for the Data Sheet to include a picture of the
participant in their garment and a fabric swatch. I am also enclosing a copy of
"Tips on Fashion Revue Judging" to use in preparing participants for judging.
If your county has a Fashion Revue but does not have a qualifying
senior, please complete the top part of the State Fashion Revue form and return
it so that we can know how many total youth are involved in this activity. This
will help with future planning.
