Partnership for Inclusion
A statewide technical assistance project with offices in the western, central, and eastern regions of North Carolina. Administratively housed at the Frank Porter Graham Child,Development Institute at UNC-Chapel Hill, PFI provides technical assistance to support the inclusion of young children with disabilities, ages birth through five, in all aspects of community life.

The Arc of the United States
The Arc of the United States is the nation's leading national organization on mental retardation. The Arc represents over seven million children and adults with mental retardation and their families.

The Association for People with Severe Handicaps (TASH)
National organization to promote full inclusion of people with disabilities;gathers and disseminates information, supports research, education, and judicial efforts.

The Beach Center on Families and Disability
The mission of the Beach Center on Families and Disability at the University of Kansas is to enhance the quality of life of families who have children with disabilities.

The Center for Community Inclusion

The Center on Disability and Community Inclusion
The Center on Disability & Community Inclusion, located at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont, is part of a national network of developmental disabilities programs established to support individuals with disabilities and their families. The UAP of Vermont, in collaboration with individuals with disabilities, their families and communities, promotes the independence, inclusion, participation, and personal choice of individuals with disabilities of all ages in all environments.

Council for Exceptional Children

The Family Support Network of North Carolina

Family Village
Family Village is a global community that integrates information, resources, and communication opportunities on the Internet for persons with cognitive and other disabilities, for their families, and for those that provide them services and support.

HEATH Resource Center
The HEATH Resource Center is the national clearinghouse on postsecondary education for individuals with disabilities. HEATH serves as an information exchange educational support services, policies, procedures, adaptations, and opportunities at American campuses, vocational-technical schools, and other postsecondary training entities.

KIDS TOGETHER

The National Center on Educational Outcomes
NCEO provides national leadership in the participation of students with disabilities in national and state assessments, standards-setting efforts, and graduation requirements

National Information Center for Children and Youth with Disabilities
NICHCY is the national information and referral center that provides information on disabilities and disability-related issues for families, educators, and other professionals. Our special focus is children and youth (birth to age 22).

National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDDR)
The United States Department of Education's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS), through its National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), conducts comprehensive and coordinated programs of research and related activities to maximize the full inclusion, social integration, employment, and independent living of disabled individuals of all ages.

North Carolina Assistive Technology Program
The N.C. Assistive Technology Project is creating a statewide system to coordinate assistive technology services. The project's activities impact children and adults with disabilities across all aspects of their lives -education, employment, recreation and independent living.

Our goal at with the TheraEd Resource Center is to provide one of the largest portal of disabilities links anywhere on the Internet. The Resource Center will be a constantly evolving "Library" of information for the disabilities fields.

North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services
This web site talked about the efforts of NCDHHS to help children and youth with disabilities to live up to their potential.

PACER Center (Parent Advocacy Coalition for Educational Rights)
The mission of PACER Center is to expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of children and young adults with disabilities and their families, based on the concept of parents helping parents.

Partnerships in Assistive Technology
PAT is a private nonprofit organization whose mission is "to increase knowledge about and access to Assistive Technology (AT) for North Carolinians with disabilities."

Southeast Disability & Business Technical Assistance Center
This is one of ten regional centers that serves as a clearinghouse of information on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
