NRLI
Fellows and Participants
The Institute
trains North Carolinians who have a stake in the use and conservation
of our state's natural resources. Each year, the Natural Resources
Leadership Institute accepts participants from government, business
and non-profit sectors across the state. Once the classroom
phase is over, each participant, whether working in a group or individually,
applies the skills they learn by embarking on a one-year practicum.
Committed
to building consensus on issues affecting the sustainable development
of North Carolina's natural resources and the quality of the state's environment,
NRLI participants seek collaborative solutions to contentious natural
resource issues. Having completed the classroom training and year-long
practicum, the participants graduate from the program and are recognized as Fellows
of the Natural Resources Leadership Institute.
