Development within Forests
Urban forests have already experienced development, requiring a different set of management and planning methods. There may still be infill development.
Growth and development in our communities is often occurring on previously undeveloped land, much of which is forest, the exurban and rural forest, which consist of the large tracts of land where development is likely to occur. The inclusion and management of these natural systems is integral to development and planning.
