Please look at the map of the entire watershed, and pick 1 or more areas to survey. Inform Christy AND Patrick of your choice. If more than one person volunteers for the same area, we will provide contact info and ask you to coordinate with each other to divide up the area. Volunteers will conduct a pollution source survey within their chosen area, using the Pollution Survey Instructions and Form that is posted here. You are welcome to cover as little or as much ground as you prefer. Digital photos are useful, also.
The Black Creek Technical Team will review the submitted surveys and conduct follow up examinations of suspected pollution sources. Information on potential illicit discharges will be passed to the Town of Cary Engineering Department for evaluation and action, if needed.
Surveys are to be completed by July 16. Email Christy AND Patrick the results, or to arrange for them to pick up the results.
If you are unable to access or print the Pollution Source Survey Instructions and maps, please contact Christy AND Patrick, and we will arrange to get a hard copy to you.
