4-H Extension Associate
As the 4-H Extension Associate, Kate Guerdat is responsible for providing statewide training and support for counties in 4-H delivery modes which include clubs, special interest, after school, and school enrichment. Kate Guerdat conducts research on best practices of delivery strategies for youth development programming efforts in order to develop and deliver training to county providers. She has extensive experience working with diverse youth populations. Kate Guerdat received her Bachelors in Community Psychology from Fordham University in New York City, a Masters degree in Recreation Administration and Management from UNC Chapel Hill and is currently completing her doctorate in the NC State University’s College of Education with a focus on Adult and Higher Education; Training and Development. Kate Guerdat is an experienced trainer in Recreation administration and youth development practices. Areas of expertise include elements of effective programming, behavior management and practices, positive youth development, community resource development and collaboration, and program evaluation.
