Harriett C. Edwards
Assistant Professor and Extension 4-H Specialist
- Dr. Harriett Edwards serves as Extension Specialist for Continuing Volunteer Education. Her responsibilities include serving as staff liaison and advisor to the North Carolina 4-H Volunteer Leaders’ Association, coordinating participation in the Southern Region 4-H Leader’s Forum, and leading the state’s 4-H Master Volunteer and Master Volunteer Achievement in Continuing Education (ACE) volunteer training initiatives. Dr. Edwards serves as the state’s 4-H Military Liaison and as Program Liaison to the Southwest District. She teaches in the Youth Development Leadership graduate specialization program. Her scholarly research interests address the areas of volunteerism, volunteer management, adult learning, civic engagement, and teen volunteerism.
