Administrative Support Associate

Grenita Renee Jordan serves as Administrative Support Associate for the 4-H Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP). EFNEP is a nutrition education program that promotes healthy lifestyles. The adult component of the program teaches families with children how to improve their dietary practices and become more effective managers of available resources. The youth component, 4-H EFNEP, provides to young people age 5-19 a practical, hands-on approach to nutrition education and food preparation. This idea of “Learning by Doing” encourages positive dietary changes, increased physical activity and improved food safety habits resulting in better health and enhanced self-esteem.

Administrative Support Associate for 4-H EFNEP:

Provide administrative support to the 4-H EFNEP Coordinator

Maintain records, reports and an up-to-date filing system

Provide accurate and error-free program data entry for Adult and 4-H EFNEP

Track receipts and expenditures

Reconcile purchase card statements and work with bookkeepers to resolve accounting discrepancies

Submit invoices; travel claims and other reimbursements

Monitor and retrieve budget reports

Assist with grant projects

Handle event planning and preparation

Assist with development of marketing tools such as brochures and program banners

Prepare correspondences, proposals, written communications, newsletters, flyers, program guides, educational materials and drafts of Extension publications for distribution and media usage
