Extension Associate/Latino Affairs Facilitator

Cintia's position as Latino Affairs Facilitator with the Department began on July 1, 2007. Previously and since April 23, 2001, her position in the Department was as the Migrant Education Statewide Recruitment Coordinator, which was determined by the "Agreement for Professional Services between the N.C. Department of Public Services and N.C. State University/Cooperative Extension Services 4-H Youth Development Department."

Cintia's primary responsibility is providing technical assistance to the Department of 4-H Youth Development and Family & Consumer Sciences staff in how to reach out to Latino audiences, develop programs for them, and develop partnership with community agencies. Her appointment also includes supporting the overall Extension system in North Carolina in the same capability. This involves but is not limited to supporting the NCCE Latino Initiative Team efforts and projects.
