Associate Professor/Food Safety Education Specialist
Dr. Fraser’s program focuses on food safety for consumers and the retail food industry. She has formed local food safety training teams comprised of educators from county extension centers and local health departments. These teams teach food safety principles to the second largest retailer in NC -- the foodservice industry. Dr. Fraser has secured over $1.3 million to develop and evaluate her food safety education program – most of her resources are posted at www.foodsafetysite.com. Her most recently funded project is “ School HACCP.” Before coming to NCSU, she was an Extension Specialist at Michigan State University and an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Public Health, University of Michigan. Before earning her Ph.D., she was an Environmental Health Specialist in Michigan.
