Autumn Guin serves as Assistant Editor for the CYFERnet – Community website (http://www.cyfernet.org), state evaluator for the North Carolina Children Youth and Families at Risk (CYFAR) Sustainable Community Project, and evaluator for the North Carolina E-Conservation program.
Autumn earned a BS in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in 2000, a MS in Community Psychology from NC State University in 2005, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Community Psychology at NC State University.
In addition to expertise in program evaluation, Autumn has expertise in the areas of child, adolescent, and young adult social and psychological development; parent-child relationships from birth through young adulthood; and theories of health behavior change.
Autumn’s research experience includes assessing the impact of parents and peers on college student sexual risk behavior; interviewing underserved, low-income, rural women about their breast cancer screening behaviors; and participation in a research team that designed, conducted, analyzed and reported the results of an online patient-safety climate survey for a large metropolitan hospital system. The ability to collect good data, work with low-income audiences facing multiple risk factors, and to analyze and report data using complex multivariate statistical techniques are among the skills Autumn has gained throughout her research experience.
