Master Gardeners Volunteers of Currituck County are part of the volunteer staff of North Carolina State University's Cooperative Extension Service in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. They provide unbiased, research-based educational assistance and programs in horticulture and environmental issues to the gardening. For details about the State program, which has a Master Gardener Program in most counties, visit the web site for the NC State Consumer Horticulture Master Gardener Program or click on the links shown below. Master Gardener Volunteers are available to answer homeowner's questions concerning all types of gardening and landscaping, pest and disease problems, house plants, soil testing, and other topics.

The Master Gardener Program is a forty-six-state national program with over 15,000 trained volunteers who work in partnership with their county Cooperative Extension Service office to extend information throughout the community.
