Welcome to "The Fertilizer Zone". Here you can get the "411" on fertilizer and how to use it properly. Fertilizer is a very important material to the agricultural industry, yet it is often misused by both professional and amateur alike. Improper use of fertilizer can be costly, to the pocket book as well as the environment. Misuse of fertilizer can also kill the plant that you are trying to grow.

This site is devoted to providing you with the information that you need to make wise decisions about using fertilizer. I want you to be able to get the most efficient use that you possibly can from your fertilizer, so that you can have nice healthy crops while conserving your time, money and protecting the environment. Hopefully, this site can answer some of your basic questions about fertilizer usage, plant nutrition and soil testing. Links to other sources of information are available for further information beyond the scope of this site.

This site is still under construction, so check back from time- to-time to see what has changed. In the future, I hope to add an online fertilizer calculator to help you with various calculations that are necessary for determining fertilizer application rates.
