Responsibilities:

Provide research based informational programs for producers of agricultural commodities in Chatham County, North Carolina in the following areas:

Livestock and Forages

Planning, production and marketing of beef cattle, swine, horses, goats and sheep and the production and management of pastures for livestock production.

Field Crops

Planning, production and marketing of tobacco, corn, soybeans and small grains.

Pesticide Education

Certification and recertification of agricultural chemical users for the safe application of restricted use pesticides.

Farm Pond Management

Information on stocking of fish and aquatic weed identification and control.

Farm Business Management

Provide technical assistance on the management of agricultural enterprises.

Serve as the agricultural advisor to the Chatham County, North Carolina, Farm Bureau Board of Directors.
