4-H Southern Region Leader Forum
(Rock Eagle)

Julia Austin, Susan Mulder and Jewell Cross attended the 4-H Southern Region Leader Forum from Chatham County. Just ask them for details and you will hear the excitement in their voices. This was a wonderful trip filled with meeting new friends, attending many workshops, recreation and learning about new projects. They report that this is the best meeting they have attended as 4-H Leaders and recommend it to all leaders.

Chatham Farm Fun Day

The Second Annual Farm Fun Day was held as a part of the county's celebration of National Farm- City Week. Approximately 600 people attended the event. Exhibitors set-up on the grounds of the National Guard Armory and offered agricultural exhibits from foods grown in Chatham County to entertainment such as pony rides, a petting farm and painting faces on pumpkins. Inside, there were more agricultural exhibits, face painting, and Cooking with Honey, Sweet Potato Pie, and Cobble contest. Entertainment was offered during the day. We would like to thank the 4-H volunteers that helped with this event. Plan ahead to be a part of this event next year.
