Arborists

An arborist is a person who specializes in the care of individual trees and is distinct from foresters whose concerns include the entire community of trees known as the forest. There is little regulation regarding who can work on your trees. The consumer is advised to investigate a tree service's professional qualifications. Recognized associations include the
International Society of Arboriculture,
Tree Care Industry Association, and the
American Society of Consulting Arborists.
Each of these agencies provide referral service; the International Society of Arboriculture probably provides the most local certified arborists. Click here to search for a certified arborist.
