Tomato Problem

Chatham County, August 2003

Diagnosis: Anthracnose Disease (Colletotrichum sp.)

Description, Biology, and Control of Tomato Anthracnose

Our plant pathologists at NCSU are still working to characterize this very aggressive disease. Normally, anthracnose on tomato does not cause foliar symptoms - only fruit symptoms. This one seems to be doing the opposite. We are sending in another sample so they can continue to try and isolate the pathogen. Stay tuned for more information!
