Rice Harvest at Edible Earthscapes

Farmers Jason and Haruka Oatis are in their second year of rice production at Edible Earthscapes in Moncure, NC. They grow a premium sushi rice called 'Koshi Hikari'. The 2010 harvest began September 20 and took about a week with the help of a small group of friends and volunteers.
