Farm-to-Fork Picnic at Chapel Hill Creamery
Brought to you by Slow Food Triangle, NC Choices, and SEEDS,
proceeds were used to plant heirloom Southern apple trees at
Lakewood & Burton Elementary Schools in Durham.

| Crowds lined up to sample the tasty food. |

Ben Bergmann and Noah Ranells of Fickle Creek Farm with their pork dishes and pigs' ear slaw. |

Libby Outlaw, Daryl Walker, Alex Hitt, and Ken Dawson. |

Local bluegrass band Kickin' Grass provided awesome tunes for the picnic. |

Carrboro Farmers' Market manager Sheila Neal (handing out eggs - locally grown of course) organized many of the children's activities at the picnic, including the very popular egg toss. It was so popular, in fact, that the adults demanded their own contest! |

|
Winners at the kids' pea shelling contest received heirloom tomato transplants. |

Mary Ann Pagano and daughter Lily demonstrate how to spin wool from the sheep they raise at Three Waters Farm. |

Chef Proprieter Ben Barker of Magnolia Grill served up locally raised whole pig BBQ. |

NC Choices Director Jennifer Curtis and husband Rich Bell. |
