Carlo Petrini Visit and Farm-to-Fork Picnic
May 22, 2007

Roos, Agricultural Extension Agent.
Italian Carlo Petrini, the founder of the international Slow Food movement,
was invited to North Carolina by the Center for Environmental Farming Systems as a featured speaker for the Farm-to-Fork
activities which included a public discussion in Raleigh, an evening reception, and a picnic at Chapel Hill Creamery. Of course we couldn't let Mr. Petrini visit without seeing a local farm, so he toured Peregrine Farm
before the afternoon picnic.
