Chatham County Beekeepers' Association:
2008 Monthly Meeting Schedule
Directions to meetings
The Chatham County Beekeepers Association (CCBA) meets the third Thursday of
the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Agricultural Building in Pittsboro, NC.
Everyone is welcome to attend the meetings. You do not have to be a member of the CCBA to come to the meetings.

Meeting Format:
- 7:00-7:30 pm – business meeting and local calendar (beekeeping
tasks for the month)
- 7:30-8:30 pm – speaker
- 8:30-9:00 pm – open Q & A

Categories:
- Main Dish
- Salad / Vegetable
- Dessert
- Breads
- Beverages - non-alcoholic
Contest Rules:
- No more than two entries per person, and each entry must be in a separate category
- Recipe must accompany each entry and the recipe becomes the property of the Association
- Amount of honey in each entry must be appropriate for the dish prepared
- Local honey used should be used if possible
- Entrant must be present for his/her entry to be judged
- Entries become part of the pot-luck meal
Each entry will be judged on its own merit with the accumulation of points determining a first, second or third place ribbon. Therefore no entry will be in competition against another in its category. A plaque will be awarded to the entry judged to be the best overall.
Note: This system is the same as used at the NC State Fair and the NCSBA for judging entries.
- October 16, 2008: Work on State Fair display
- November 20, 2008: Open Question and Answer Session (also elect officers and discuss 2008 calendar)
- December 12 or 19, 2008: Christmas Party (Friday at 6:30 pm) Potluck Dinner
