The Chatham County Center of North Carolina Cooperative Extension and the Chatham County Beekeepers’ Association conducted their 5th Annual Pollinator Day Celebration on May 14 at Chatham Mills in Pittsboro, NC. The purpose of Pollinator Day is to raise public awareness of the importance of the bees and other pollinators that are needed to produce 80 percent of our flowering plants and one third of our human food crops.

The program ran from 10:00 am-2:00 pm and featured educational exhibits and activities for folks of all ages, including beekeeping demonstrations, pollinator garden tours, mead making demonstrations, kids' activities, and much more.

See details of the event on this webpage.
