The 4-H Program sponsored a three week daycamp at Jordan Lake in Chatham County. 213 campers enjoyed hands-on activities from Tanya Knight, Cooperative Extension staff - Out For Lunch Program; County Fire Marshall staff - First Safety Program; Debbie Roos, Cooperative Extension staff - Wildlife Aquatic Program; and Jordan Lake State Park Rangers, Environmental Education Program. 18 volunteers assisted 12 camp counselors with this 4-H Adventure Day Camp.

Day Camp evaluations each week showed youth gained knowledge and/or understanding of the following activities.
IMPACTS:
97% - gained an understanding about fire safety in the house.
89% - gained an understanding about environmental education.
88% - gained an understanding about food and nutrition.
92% - gained an understanding about wildlife aquatic life.
98% - agreed that learning can be fun.
