North Carolina Cooperative Extension is based at North Carolina's two land-grant institutions, NC State University and NC A&T State University, in all 100 counties and on the Cherokee Reservation. CountDown Carteret Celebration Event An event celebrating the end of the first CountDown Carteret will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008, at the Boys and Girls Club in Morehead City. The event being held from 10am to 2pm will focus on different ways to enjoy physical activity. There will be demonstrations, participatory activities, healthy snacks, and prizes! This is a great event for the whole family, children to grandparents, to enjoy. You do not have to be a registered CountDown Carteret participant. The event is free and open to the public. Come and help us celebrate a healthier Carteret County. Carteret County Center gives our county's residents easy access to the resources and expertise of NC State University and NC A&T State University. Through educational programs, publications, and events, Cooperative Extension agents deliver unbiased, research-based information to Carteret County citizens.
