Nutria
There are no effective repellents and no legal poisons to control
nutria. Trapping with a number 2 steel trap is the most
effective control measure. Sheet metal may protect wooden
structures, styrofoam floats, and trees. Shooting may provide
some short term revenge but isn't effective for long term
control. Nutria are covered by H North Carolina
Law for Wildlife Killed for Depredations.
