Muskrats
Muskrats can be trapped using number 1 or number 1.5 steel traps.
Place in runs and bait with carrots or apples. Shooting will
reduce individuals. Pond dams protected with riprap or overbuilt
are less suseptible to damage. Muskrats are covered by North Carolina
Law for Wildlife Killed for Depredations.
