Beavers

Protect Gardens with electric fence. Protect individual trees with wire mesh. Protect culverts with a baffler and pond drains with a wire gage. Trapping will control local populations. Shooting will control local populations. Beavers most active from dusk to dawn so late afternoon is most productive time to shoot. In North Carolina outside Buncombe, Madison, McDowell, and Yancey counties there is an open season all year long. Beavers are covered by North Carolina Law for Wildlife Killed for Depredations.
