Woody Ornamentals

Transplanting problems.

You have described excessive watering. Waterlogged soils prevent plants roots from obtaining oxygen. Plant roots are alive and require oxygen like any other living thing. Generally by the time symptoms occur the damage has been done. While it is possible that these plants will live, they often perform very poorly.

For more information see See Horticulture Note on Transplanting Shrubs and Trees.
