BEAUFORT COUNTY 4-H!

What is 4-H?

4-H is a learn-by-doing educational program which helps youth establish life goals and enables them to grow into productive, competent citizens. 4-H members acquire lasting knowledge and skills through participation in 4-H projects and presentations and in 4-H activities and events, such as 4-H Camp Wannagoma, Livestock Shows, Horse Bowls and Shows, Summer Camps and conferences, etc.

Who can join Beaufort County 4-H?

4-H opportunites are open to all Beaufort County youth between the ages of 5 and 19 regardless of race, sex, disability, color, national origin, or religion.

How does 4-H work?

Beaufort County 4-H opportunities are guided by trained volunteers and are coordinated by 4-H staff professionals at the Beaufort County Center of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service. 4-H is a cooperative effort of the county government, the Cooperative Extension Service, North Carolina State University and North Carolina A&T State University, and the U. S. Department of Agriculture. There are several avenues by which a young person can become involved in 4-H; CLICK HERE to check them out!
