Member Resource Committee
1999 Program of Work

Objectives:
1.   North Carolina Association will follow the guidelines of the National Association with three subcommittees.  Mentoring, Diversity, and Membership.

2.   North Carolina will be represented and serve on the National Member Resource Committee.

3.   North Carolina Member Resources will coordinate a mentoring workshop at the  1999 National Convention.

4.   Represent the North Carolina Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences on the North Carolina Cooperative Extension Service Foundation Benevolence committee or appoint a representative.

5.   Coordinate National Life Member application and work with state retirees on membership and involvement in state and district associations functions.

6.   Promote continued support of the Ada Dalla Pozza Extension Scholarship and contributions to the Foundation.

7.   Continue to promote fund raising and support of the resource development committee for 1999 national convention in North Carolina.

8.   Provide a $25.00 donation to the Ada Dalla Pozza Foundation for any retiring administrator.

9.   To compile a revised directory of retired and life members. (state and national)

10.  To assist the Budget Committee in revising the directory that will include business and personal information.

11.  To participate in the orientation of new Family and Consumer Education Agent held in July with information about the association and encouraging new agents to join and co-sponsored the lunch.

District Committee Goals:
1.   To invite all eligible FCE agents and administrators to join the NCEAFCS.
2.   To provide all new members with a NCEAFCS CREED.
3.   To send cards, flowers and notes to bereaved or sick members (according to   District Benevolence guidelines.)
4.   To extend special invitations and recognition to retired agents for District Association meetings.
5.   To design and/or promote a mentoring program in each district to assist new agents in successful programming and a 'welcome" feeling into the Extension family.
6.   To promote and share ideas for successful diversity in FCS programming.
7.   To promote Ada Dalla Pozza Foundation Scholarship to all members.
8.   To support State Resources Development committee for 1999 national meeting.
9.    To work with treasurer in revising the District FCE membership lists for current members and retirees.
