George Wilson
State ESP International Award
George Wilson has had 35 years of experience in research, technology
transfer, extension education and administration a third of which has been in residence in
Spanish speaking Latin American Countries, including two years administering USAID
Projects in Peru through NC State University. As CALS Coordinator of International
Programs since 1977, Dr. Wilson has facilitated numerous international collaborations for
faculty and students, and has been a leader in the internationalization of teaching, research and extension programs at NC State. He encourages global thinking and actions, and his
eyes and ears are "wide open" to new international programs and opportunities that can
utilize the talents of campus and field based extension faculty. We are indeed fortunate to
have an international program coordinator in CALS who is true "globalist".
